I’m guessing that is out of 5 stars? What did you like/not like? Did you like Borat?

Out of four stars. I liked it, but hard to follow in Borat's footsteps (*** 1/2). I was bummed I'd read so many reviews, felt like I'd seen the film already. Loved the karate studio/focus group/campout scenes especially. I'd recommend it, but as you know, it's not for the squeamish/conservative/prudish.

Cool. I’ll probably have to wait for DVD as Mrs. GlennK can’t watch that kind of stuff. She feels too embarrassed for the people involved to enjoy herself. It’s rare that a commercial will make me laugh out loud but the scene where he says he named his baby OJ gets me every time.

Saw Mamma Mia also. Pierce Brosnan is a horrible singer. Entertaining movie, but nothing special. Maybe its because I'm not a big ABBA Fan, though I did like the show Chess

I agree that listening to Pierce Brosnan was barely tolerable. He is an exceptionally skilled actor, but shouldn't do musicals.

Agreed. Put him on the list along with Clint Eastwood and Lee Marvin in Paint Your Wagon. Roll Eyes
And now: Hero

An absolutely beautiful movie. One of my favorites of the last several years. One I think I will watch once a year now. And I'd like to retract what I said about the story before (it being lacking). I think this is a very well told fable from multiple points of view. I also appreciate the cinematography and symbolism. Enjoyed this one, yet again.

I watched this movie with my autistic son last year when he was 17. I knew he'd like the martial arts scenes (some of the most fantastic wire-work over a lake I've ever seen), but I think he really got into the story and message as well. I don't know if he connected through the different colors or what. He was very intrigued by the ending. I won't spoil it for those who haven't yet seen it, but it was the first time I can remember him asking me questions about what went on, on a deeper level than just the entertainment aspect.
So yeah, a big thumbs up from me!
