Yes, I thought it was very enjoyable. There are some great interactions between Eastwood and his priest, the Hmong girl next door, and his own family. I thought the writing was exceptional and the ending was great.

If you do see it, I'd be interested in your thoughts.

On a side note, Bruges is a great city and look forward to visiting again.


Saw In Bruges last night. Good movie. Darker and more serious in ways than I expected, but funny and quite well acted. For the child-geeks of all ages, though, I must say hearing Brendan Gleeson refer to Ralph Fiennes as "Harry" gave me a broader grin than it ought to have. Also, you just gotta love Clemece Poesy. And Colin Farrell gave an excellent performance, I thought.

Watched The Wrestler last night. I really enjoyed this movie and loved the style of the camera work that basically follows Mickey Rourke’s character through his daily life. Rourke and Marisa Tomei were both great (Tomei as a stripper is worth the price of admission). I’m not a fan of Evan Rachel Wood at all, but she doesn’t get in the way to much here. No need to rush out to the theaters for this one as I watched it on my laptop and I don’t think the big screen would have added much. Thumbs up for sure.

I thought the movie was good, but nothing more. I did think Tomei and Wood gave sterling performances.

Yes, K and I are not gigantic fans, but we like them, and have been slowly working through them. Re-saw WaHeart, BVelvet, MDrive recently. Mulholland is inspired filmmaking, I'll agree. Will probably tackle Eraserhead at some point soon. Eek
