Very well done! Casting, cinematography and music were excellent IMO.
I enjoyed the movie very much.

Funny thing I did notice: Not one person held their wine glass by the stem. Good lord! Keep your hands off the bowl.

Just got back from The Mummy 3 with my son. Glad I saw it at the second run theatre for $2. Was pretty cheesy.

Watched "Wall Street" on PBS HD last night. Haven't seen it in a while and couldn't believe it's been over 20 years already. Yet the movie's theme remains very contemporary. Classic.

Two nights ago I saw Iron Man. I'm ambivelant on it. 10 minutes in I knew every single plot point and how the movie would end... because I've seen "this movie" 100 times. That said, Iron Man is better than 90%+ of those movies in most regards -- better acting, better dialouge, etc. The villain, who, again, you instantly know is the villain the second he first appears on screen, it is revealed is cartoonishly evil at the very end -- and the final battle leaves a bit to be desired. Watched Burn After Reading this past weekend. I found it very entertaining (I’m a pretty easy movie critic for what it’s worth). Typical quirkiness you would expect from the Coen brothers. Brad Pitt was actually pretty funny. I find he is at his best when he is playing more of an odd character (Snatch/Fight Club/etc). Anyways, I would recommend if you are looking for a laugh.
I popped in Sideways this weekend for the heck of it.
Watched The Grudge again last night. That movie still scares the s#*% out of me.

My wife and I saw "Ghost Town." Unexpectedly entertaining. Hysterically funny, poignant and affirming. It's the date movie of the decade.
My daughter wanted to rent Across the Universe. Eh, she's into musicals these days.
I thought it would be some pos like Moulin Rouge!, but it turned out to have a decent story to go with it, and some good singing by an attractive cast of unknowns (to me, anyway.)

Took my son to wall-e and was fun but had some strange political overtones to the movie.
Proof of Life - A fairly decent movie about a US oil company worker who is kidnapped in a South American country, and the ransom negotiator (Russell Crowe) who works with the wife to secure his return.
Two little bones to pick: (1) None of the special forces trained operatives seem to have heard of this wonderful device called a "silencer" which you can put on a gun instead of having to use a knife; and (2) when infiltrating an enemy post, it is usually better to do so at night, especially if you have access to high-tech equipment and the enemy does not.
