Saw "Henry Poole Is Here" this weekend. Good film, the kind that doesb't get made much any more...brings into question the existence of God (And we can't have that!). Give it a good solid B+.
Anyone seen "Bottle Shock" yet?
Not to mention Scarlett Johannson. Props to fellow hab Ryan Reynolds, Scarjo is one hell of an upgrade from Alanis Morissette.quote:Originally posted by KSC02:quote:Originally posted by wine+art:
KSC02, required to see soon. Excellent shots of Spain, lots of wine drinking, LOTS of serious Expressionist Art, wonderful Spanish guitar, AND beautiful women staring in the movie!
I can not wait until next Spring.
Penelope Cruz?! Gotta be worth seeing, if not just for her!
Saw the trailor. Looks good. Thanks for the heads up. I will be sure to see this soon.![]()

Yep. BIG pass. DVD at best, and just for the unintended comedy value.
Today, Elegy.
Charlie Wilson's War - not high art but thoroughly entertaining and educational.
How can you not like the performance of Phillip Seymour Hoffman. Tom Hanks is always enjoyable and Julia Roberts - what can you say?
On deck - There Will Be Blood

Watched Into The Wild the other night. Stupid kid, but made a pretty interesting film.
Tonight, "The Madness of King George".
totally agreed, and the "real" story shows he was even stupider(
) than the onscreen version. hard to imagine. but it did make one fine film. one of my favorites that year.
last night: the dead girl. i thought it was pretty good for something that went completely under my radar.

Flawless: With Michael Caine and Demi Moore. Quite good actually. A diamond heist movie based in London in 1960.

Always brilliant. I also always enjoy Forest Whitaker.

I thought this was fantastic, but a lot of my friends were bored by it. Hope you enjoy it. You menionted Phillip Seymour Hoffman. I feel the same way about Daniel Day-Lewis. His performance in this movie is very impressive, and in my opinion, quite powerful.
Anatomy of a Murder. Can't believe I had never seen this classic.

Traitor -- an 88-89 IMO whereas Batman was a 95. Saving Private Ryan, a 98 score.
Saw Dark Knight at the movies. Well worth the money.
Watched Lord Of War on Netflix. Surprisingly good movie.
Also watched Green Fingers. Clive Owen and Helen Mirren; it was utterly predictable but fun.
