Did you see it on a big screen theater?
I have seen it twice on such, and it is majestic. I seems to show here every couple of years during our classic week.
Midnight Express.
Love Actually
I try to watch it around Christmas each year.

Requiem for a Dream

I did not, unfortunately. 37 inch LCD. It would have been even better. I had the good fortune of seeing Lawrence of Arabia on a local big screen fairly recently, and it was just awe inspiring.
I'm thinking a little Hitchcock tonight.

A great, and very disturbing, movie.

Just make sure it is one of his last couple of movies. You are on one hell of a 70s movies streak! Hmm...when did you grow up?

Grow up? Never!
Just watched Raging Bull.
I'm heading to the bedroom to watch a Hitchcock movie with my better half.
Weekend at Bernie's. A couple of good yuks, **.

Ah, there's nothing like the Classics.
In the Valley of Elah. Very underrated movie imo.

Or better yet, Wizard of Oz. Caught it on TNT last evening.

Growing up is awefuler
than all the aweful things that ever were!

MAN, you have been on a tear with good movies lately!
Cruising Bar 2
(a local, quebec film)
Not quite as good as the first, but pretty funny follow-up to the first one created back in the late 80's.

I concur. So difficult to watch a good portion of the time, but riveting nonetheless. Great movie.
Shawshank Redemption.

Ahhh, one of my favorites. Such a beautifully made film, and with superb acting, especially by Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman (great supporting cast as well). I've seen it more than a dozen times and I still get choked up watching the last scene.

Is that the one with Billy Crudup and Jennifer Connelly? I remember seeing it awhile ago... very disturbing (but definitely well made) movie... I think I'd have a hard time watching it again.

Did you ever read the short story by Stephen King?

Hate to admit it but I haven't yet.

I think you have the right movie but Billy Crudup doesn't act in it. Jared Leto, who does kinda looks like Billy Crudup is one of lead actors. Yeah its a pretty disturbing movie done by Darren Aronofsky based on a novel from back in the 70's which I believe carries the same name.
Burn After Reading (pretty comical)

I'm off the rest of the year, weather sticks, I never sleep over 5 hours anyway, and I only have to buy for one person for Christmas.

J is coming to town today, so may head out to a movie. I was hoping for golf today, BUT...

Yeah, I'd say golf isn't in the cards for today.
