yeah, i read it the first time. Roll Eyes

disappointed? i could actually care less what you think of it, no disrespect intended. it's a movie. one you never saw. Cool

ps - i saw the whole thing and didn't really care for it either, for what it's worth.
also recently rewatched it and still feel the same about it. very over rated.

TBird

Wow, that was a good slam! Eek

So, you're disappointed I didn't enjoy the Peter Jackson film, "District 9"?

All I needed was 45 minutes to know that I didn't enjoy this movie at all, and---I stated why I didn't enjoy the movie. Again, Aliens come to Earth, resembling Giant Prawns that walk, talk an alien language, and are scavengers. Let's see; These creatures are smart and disciplined enough for interplanetary travel, but otherwise, they are scavengers, rooting through garbage, and living in garbage! I never saw the ending, and turned it off after 45 minutes of wasted time. Although everyone seems to rave about "District 9", this was just not my kind of movie! Two thumbs down!
Saw "Wall Street:Money Never Sleeps" last night.
At over 2 hrs it is a bit long, but it moves along well. Very good acting performances by Michael Douglas, Carey Mulligan, and others (minor roles by Susan Sarandon and Frank Langella).
Will earn Douglas an Oscar nomination, because it's a pretty big role and there is the sympathy factor, plus he's Hollywood royalty.

Interesting movie, but disturbing. What did you think of this one?

If I had known it would be as graphic as it was, I probably would not have viewed it.

I have zero tolerance for misogyny.

Saw this last night. Graphic is right. Odd looking actress playing the "Girl". Does the rest of the series involve her?

As did Larsson, hence his stories...
This past week:

Surveillance - 2.5 stars (really like Bill Pullman in this one)

Eraserhead - 4 stars (high rating only because of the time period, made in 1976...must have been extremely disturbing and ahead of its time 35 years ago)

Carriers - 1 star (the girl from Coyote Ugly and the guy who played Kirk in the latest Star Trek movie...started off keeping my attention, then just fell off a cliff).
