"The Secret in Their Eyes" ***1/2
"El Secreto de sus Ojos"
An Argentine Cold Case Files & Murder Mystery Movie. Really well-made with an excellent cast from Argentina, and Javier Godino from Spain, who was the Bank Manager in the movie Deception! One small flaw, or this would've been a 4 Star Movie!

latour67,
I saw The Secret in Their Eyes, and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo the same day.
What was the small flaw?

Also, I have to say this was one who-dunnit where I did not guess the outcome. Not even close. Yarp.

w+a,
Well, that was one fantastic day!

The small flaw for me, was:-------Morales demanded that Esposito leave his house immediately! However, Morales was a considerate, thankful, and patient man; even patient enough to wait at the Train Station for 2 years, hoping for Gomez to just walk by.
When that happened, I told my wife that I knew where Gomez was. While not exactly a flaw, it did diminish the resolve for me.
Also, another small flaw for me, was:----Esposito is a Federal Justice agent that is both intelligent and pro-active, but he leaves on the train with Irene running down the tracks after him????-----that would have been more than enough encouragement for a man like Esposito to exit the moving train and run to Irene! Perhaps just a small character flaw?????
Thoughts???
BTW, both pix were outstanding, but I preferred the "Tattoo" over the "Eyes"!
The Mothman Prophecies
"The Karate Kid"----What???
What happened? The Karate Kid goes to Beijing, China, and become a Kung Fu expert?
I don't even think he knows any Karate, and they should've named this movie "The Kung Fu Kid!
Jackie Chan was mis-directed, Taraji P. Henson was mis-cast, but without any question, Jaden Smith stole every scene, along with the entire picture! I think he will be a future huge star, a role model, a heart-breaker, and Jada & Will should be very proud!
Beautiful scenery, beautiful kids, good musical score, but nothing else works! I'd give it ** stars
, with an extra 1/2 star for the work of Jaden Smith! total ** 1/2

A-Team was one of the best movies I have seen this year. Somewhat worried it would have ruined the image of the show they used to have, but everyone played their part very well.

Well you got me there, I used to work in weatherford, tx at the theater there. I got to see all the movies and could tell you anything about them. Now I see them on occasion and judge very little. So awsome to me is only compared to the handful of movies I see.
I travel through Temple about once a month, but never stop in Temple.

Perhaps I will pull off the highway sometime to share a bottle with you QSN Stores.

Myra Breckinridge.
I was too young to have any interest in the movie when it came out, and was surprised at the mix of actors in the movie.
Mae West
John Huston
Rex Reed
Raquel Welch
Farrah Fawcett
Tom Selleck
John Carradine
Jim Backus
Andy Devine

The Book of Eli (pfffft)
It's Complicated. Considering Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin were in it, I thought it would be funnier.

I think Gilliam is getting weirder as he gets older. Not his best, but not bad.

Is that possible?

Some very funny moments, good performances - fairly depressing. Katherine Keener is awesome, Oliver Platt is entertaining and the daughter (who was the daughter in Spanglish) also is quite good. Recommended for what it is but I would not say it was a great film. MLV and I enjoyed it and had about the same reaction. Also, the theatre's AC was working quite well and given how hot it was in Key West this weekend, a couple bonus points added for that.

Left an aftertaste on me that I can't quite describe.
The Hurt Locker
I thought it was a very good film, although I understand why some of the Iraq veterans complain that some of the scenes were inaccurate or farfetched.

I wouldn't be surprised if that's Clint's last starring role. Since he's been a star, I don't remember him ever being killed.
