Robin Hood
A simply dreadful movie named Spread, but Margarita Levieva kept my attention.

It was the first movie I have ever seen staring Ashton Kutcher. Good lord.

I can honestly and thankfully say that I have never seen a movie starring Ashton Kutcher. I saw about 3 minutes of him on That 70's Show and that was all I needed to know...
On a *totally* unrelated matter, anyone catch The Special Relationship on HBO? I have it TiVoed, is it worth watching tonight?

Just fast forward to all the scenes with Margarita Levieva.
Okay, you owe me BIG time!

"The Prince of Persia"
This movie had possibilities for the first 45 minutes, but then it fell apart in every way possible, becoming a movie for kids who like fantasy, magic, and non-sense.

Year One. A lot of stuff that was pretty dumb, but it also had some very funny parts, too.
Saw Harry Potter - Half Blood Prince and 1/2 to 2/3 of the Hangover over the weekend
Agata e Tempesta - Silvio Soldini

Saw District 9 again. A well made movie. Can't wait for the sequel.

Nope, Monday night - had to get up for the drive back from KW to the office and it got too late.

How well do you think the movie has aged?
Dudley Moore was one of my all time favorites! I loved him as an actor, and really enjoyed his passion on the piano. Arthur worked on many levels, the comedic brilliance of Moore with a quarky but wonderful pairing with Liza. Still love it to this day!quote:Originally posted by wine+art:quote:Originally posted by gigabit:

Some of his skits with Peter Cook were very well done. Anybody remember Dudley Moore, as a one-legged amputee, auditioning for the role of Tarzan?

I would echo the thoughts of MJAlbers; the movie is timeless. It is one of Mrs. G's favorite movies, so we watch it periodically.
To me, Sir John Gielgud steals the show - a role for which he rightly received the Academy Award.
The writing, acting, music, and direction are excellent, imo.
Case in point:
Hobson: "Thrilling to meet you, Gloria."
Gloria: "Hi."
Hobson: "Yes... You obviously have a wonderful economy with words, Gloria. I look forward to your next syllable with great eagerness."

They usually played well off each other, as in the much superior original version of Bedazzled.
Their Hound of the Baskervilles didn't mesh for me, however, but I do remember a riotious Denholm Elliot in a bit part.
(500) Days of Summer. I really enjoyed this, as did my wife.

Indeed. For all her craziness, Paltrow is a very good actress. And, obviously, Stoppard is an amazing writer. (Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead is my favorite play by a living writer, though it did not translate well to the screen.)
Dear John and Avatar. I wouldn't have chosen either, but sometimes you just have to suck it up to keep others happy.
Mulholland Drive.
The Remains of the Day.
Invictus
Assassination Tango and The Night Buffalo.
Winetarelli and KSC02, have you all seen The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo yet?

Nope. See you (re)-watched Remains of the Day. Not Merchant-Ivory's best film (we both/all know which one gets that nod) but quite strong nonetheless.
Entrapment. It was on cable last night. CZJ is simply a beautiful woman. Michael Douglas is one lucky man. Does anyone know the designer of that amazing red dress she wore in the movie?

Check out "Splitting Heirs" to see her in her youth. Not much other reason to see this film....

"I've not seen this at all"???? As opposed to seeing half of it?

The Freshman
MAN! I hadn't seen this in 5+ years, what a good movie. One of Matthew Brodrick's two best.
As in, "I've not seen this anywhere".
