The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.
A Swedish movie (with subtitles). Great acting, very exciting. Highly recommended.
The Adventures of Robin Hood
One of my very favorite movies as a child... Man, I was a smart child.
Sure Russell Crowe is a good actor, and Ridley Scott a good director, but think they made a movie as good as this?

Lovely Bones.
Bounty Hunter
A few laughable scenes, but overall, a big disappointment.

I guess I enjoyed this more than most here. At the beginning there is the line, "More of this is true than you would believe."
I do remember many of those ideas and concepts in the 70's. The Earth Goddess Mother, Eastern Philosophies, Astral Projection (Jonathan Livingston Seagull), mind over matter stuff, and rumors of the CIA doing experiments with Remote Viewing because the Soviets were rumored to be doing the same thing. It's well documented that the Army experimented with LSD and other mind-altering chemicals even before that period. Like the running through a wall event, I even remember a theory that dolphins used their minds to propel themselves through the water faster than their bodies were supposedly capable of.
Somebody just threw it all together into this movie, though I doubt there was ever any hippie colonel involved.

Revolutionary Road.
I really feel enthused about life after this gem.

"City Island" Surprisingly good. Nice characters and a happy ending.
Finally saw "The Blind Side". Excellent movie of that type. Of course, I'm too manly to cry at the end but my wife was kidding me about watery eyes.

Not true! I'm not a huge Denzel Washington fan but he is bad*ss to the hilt in this movie, even more so (IMO) than Training Day

I found it very depressing, but others here have enjoyed it.

Indeed.
Just more of the revisionist history our country has become so fond of.

I wanted to hate it, but didn't. A lot of cool images, but Dances With Wolves in space really isn't far off the mark as a comparison.

If by Kevin Costner you mean Errol Flynn, I would agree.

Actually, I think it's an excellent movie.
Wall-E
Peter Gabriel's song from the soundtrack - during the closing credits - is excellent.

The Blind Side. I enjoyed it - a well done feel good movie.
On the airplane to Montreal, Vicky Cristina Barcelona, which helped me prepare for the Bohemian lifestyle of Montreal.
I watched The Hangover flying home last night, which had several parts reminiscent of our Friday night/morning in Montreal.
The stories from that night, well actually early morning will become folklore within the circle that experienced it.
I wonder when was the last time DoktaP went to bed at 5 AM?
