MOVIES: What are you watching?

It wasn't exactly what I was expecting, but I liked it. All except for Eastwood trying to croon his way through a song over the ending credits. Good god , whoever thought that would be a good idea?
Watching was a bit uncomfortable, as Clint's character reminded me of my own father. Not quite to that degree, but certainly in that direction.

Took my son to see G.I. Joe yesterday- it was fun for what it is, but nothing special.

Watched Wanted over the weekend. Pretty entertaining movie.

Julie and Julia. Excellent.

I walked out on 300. Needless to say, after ALL the hype, I was slightly disappointed

The Dancer Upstairs - a movie about a policeman trying to catch the leader of a revolutionary movement in Latin America. John Malkovich directed it.

Interesting movie, was more interesting to know it was modeled off of the Shining Path movement in Peru.

I'm not surprised, as this movie seemed to sneak into the theaters, and then sneak out even faster. Perhaps the studio knew that it wasn't very good, but supposed it could get by with Foxx and Downey Jr.

BBC- The Incredible Human Journey. Ok flick hosted by a hot doctor but the theories are very vague.

Diana Ross was quite skinny. Interesting movie.

indy, saw terminator at the second run theatre for $2. It was decent with alot of action but not classic like the others.

I heard excellent things about it.

Primer- clever sci-fi time-travel stuff.

Tonight: Sweeny Todd for the 6th time. Still awesome. Best Burton movie in years. One of the best movies of the past couple of years, too.

Tomorrow: District 9. I've heard nothing but raves; trying not to go in with over expectations.

La Cite des Enfant

G.I. Joe! Really entertaining action movie packed with special effects. I was a big G.I. Joe fan as a kid which I’m sure helped. Sienna Miller with dark hair and blue eyes is very nice!!

Four stars is my top end, so *** is still an excellent movie in my book, lots of originality. But, for me, it lacked a couple of things, and fell into a couple of traps that it didn't need to. I don't want to talk too much about it, as most folks haven't seen it yet.
