Yes, Hero, big thumbs up. Need to see this again, soon.

Cool. On my short list.
Inventive film Joe, we both definitely enjoyed it. Hope you do as well.
Idiocracy.
Reminds me a lot of the usual suspects around here.........

Man of La Mancha
True Lies
True Lies
Rachel Getting Married - it was OK, but my wife and I both found it to be a strange movie.
X-Men Wolverine at the $2 theatre yesterday. Ok not great.
Wallace & Gromit in The Curse of the Were-Rabbit
Hangover

Good one! My family has taken to sometimes calling me "Wallace" because of my love for cheese and "...a nice bit of claret, eh?"
Last night, rewatched:
Zelig
Army of Darkness (The director's cut)
Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanomo
Wanted to watch a comedy....ummm,...er...

Wanted was on TV yesterday. Silly concept, but we enjoyed it for what it was. I’m not normally crazy about Angelina Jolie, but she was pretty hot in this movie. Wish they played up her character a little more actually.

Yep, interesting flick, not terrible. More Jolie is usually not a bad thing. Seeing films like this makes me all the more appreciative of how much The Matrix changed filmmaking.
Jeremiah Johnson
Started Little Children last night. Odd movie so far...

Is this the "Forest Gump meets ABBA" version?
Definitely. Hearing Pierce Bronson sing is like waterboarding.
unFunny People. For the 1/2 hour we saw before walking out: 1/2

I do not remember ever walking out on a movie.

So, you've never seen a bad film in a theater? And, if you have, you'd just as soon sit through it as not?
Some would think we wasted 13 bucks. I prefer to think that my wife and I enjoyed the next two hours more than if we'd sat through that dog of a movie.
Employee of the Month... Wow, can Jessica Simpson act.... in pairs too!

Agreed. I was expecting a Hollywood wedding flick, but was I ever wrong.

Sure I have seen some bad movies before in the theater, I just noted I can never recall walking out before.
I also can not think of a book I did not finish, but might be wrong. I have often struggled early in a book, but found it finished well, but not always.

I could barely make it two chapters into A Farewell to Arms. Hemingway just doesn't capture me, at all. Steinbeck, on the other hand...

Team America - World Police
Gigabit, I like someone that can mention Steinbeck and Team America in 2 consecutive posts.

At the risk of abuse from some here, I'll confess to not being able to finish Ulysses. Not once, but twice and the second time I made it to about page 500. At times it was brilliant, but never an easy read and it just wore me down both times.

BBC Planet Earth - From Pole to Pole.
Appalossa, based on the book my author Robert Parker, not the wine critic!!!
tried to watch appalossa last week but nodded off somewhere in the middle.
last night: fast food nation. cheerful little diddy.

I had no choice. It was required reading and our entire grade one semester.

Are you a fan of James Joyce?

I watched it last week. One of my friends son had a small part in it, so I was curious.

Never unable to finish a book, but have had a similar experience with a movie.
Twice, fell asleep trying to get through Chariots of Fire.
Never saw it again.

Loved Ulysses (read the book at age 12)!

Chariots of Fire is one of my all-time favorite movies. Imo, brilliantly acted, filmed, and scored.
I've read Ulysses, but once was enough.
