Fantastic film

Indy, you are a man of refined taste and intellect.

I absolutely loved the simple nuances like, the receptionist being killed while smoking. Once she is discovered by Redford, the cigarette is still burning and he puts it out.
DETROIT: ****

A very good and powerful movie. For those of us not yet born...this was pretty eye-opening. Granted there were liberties taken with the script.

The one thing I could not understand (not a spoiler) was why no one in the group who knew did not tell the police that it was a starter pistol that they heard and not a sniper attempt.

Not sure if this would qualify as a movie or TV show but we finished The Defiant Ones this week on HBO. F'ing loved it.

I had no idea that Jimmy Iovine was involved with so many big names and all the footage of Dre really brought me back. I grew up right on the Long Beach and Compton boarder which was basically ground zero when The Chronic came out in 92. I was in the 10th grade and Dre's half sister was in my class. He would drop her off at school all the time and would nearly cause a riot each time. Crazy time filled with lots of violence and trouble but also lots of fun and good music. I thought the documentary did a great job of capturing what things were like back then.

I want to see this. Jimmy Iovine seems like an amazing character. Heard a great interview with him on Stern. All the great people he worked with.

I thought about that as well, and decided that not everyone knew of the starter pistol event in the window, and among the ones who did, it was more prudent to keep going down the path of not mentioning it, than give the perception that information was being hidden.
