Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure

Extreme silliness but never gets old

I introduced my kids to this one when they were old enough. They still enjoy it. That, and Bogus Journey.
"Dude, that's your Step-mom!"

"Shut Up Ted!"

In all serious when did they last make a teen comedy not involving sex, drugs and/or violence?

I'm sure you are, but this thread is supposed to be about the movies you've seen so how about sticking to that subject rather than bragging about yourself! Wink Banana Big Grin

B, we are going to enjoy our time when we finally break bread together. Wink

never doubted it..... Cool

Does anyone else (besides TOM) remember when the threat of "military school" was something to be taken seriously? Red Face I was starting high school when the Vietnam war finally ended.

Even if you liked this movie (I didn't), was everyone waiting for a sequel?

Never saw the film.

One of the seminal science-fiction movies of all time and the two movie buffs either haven't seen it or don't like it? Eek

I had heard that the sequel was going to have Denis Villeneuve direct a few months ago. Should make for an interesting and beautifully shot movie.

Mad Max - Fury Road

Awful. Terrible. Horrific. Sucks.

Seriously, how did it get such a high rating? I don't even know where to begin...

98% on Rotten Tomatoes with 92% audience score, must be the Citizen Kane of post-apocalyptic movies. However I think your review is probably right on the money.

The only things that made this watchable (i.e., I didn't leave) were:
1) I went with friends and one was my ride home
2) Was a theatre with the new lounge seats that recline back quite a bit and are extra wide so you're not rubbing elbows with your neighbor
3) The theatre served beer
4) Did I mention I did not drive myself to the theatre?!

I thought Charlize Theron actually did a pretty good job in this film. But this is another one where you ask yourself . . . was anyone clamoring for a Mad Max redux?
