Agreed. This movie sucked, but had a ton of potential.

I just watched it last night and enjoyed it a bit more than the two of you -- or maybe about the same as finz if that is a "C" grade. I agree that it could have been so much more. It just never got any real traction and just sort of meandered along without ever pulling you in. I'm not a big Clooney fan (can only think of a few things I've like him in), and his co-writing and directing probably didn't help.

Feels like this film could have just been re-named, "What would you do to get a peak of Scarlett's bod!" Would I walk through a dark room that swallowed me whole? Perhaps!

I ummm fast forwarded to the various spots in the movie when the mood got too boring

Scarlett really was wonderful in it; but so much brood and mood without pacing got me quite frustrated. It seems like a great short story that ought to be tell-able in 50 minutes but instead, took an hour 50. Much more interesting than good, imo.

Still naked Scarlett is great!

totally agree with the above comments. I don't think they could have pulled this movie off without Scarlett.

But the a movie that did not make a ton of sense would have made no sense at all . . . other than the Scarlett nudity!

Confused I'll have what you're drinking.

Spit

Leave him alone, Old Man!

Speaking of Scarlett, that opening scene from Lost in Translation...

Great scene! Woot

*That*, however, also happens to be a really great movie, imo.

Ironic that Scarlett was the star both of Sofia's and Spike's films presumed to be about their relationship/breakup. (Although Her obviously came out ten years later.)

Hey, I keep a picture of Scarlett on my desktop.

Yeah I guess it is rather pathetic. Frown

Not at all...not at all.

For me, it's Meg Ryan in her prime; the epitome of perfection.

I think I might have watched the second one on wine sometime this year, but I thought it was called You Will Be My Son -- French and about wine. I found it OK, but if it hadn't been about wine it probably would have been less interesting.
