Enjoyed.
The footage from the camera on his car at Monte Carlo was awesome.

Documentary on Roosevelt H.S. (Seattle) girls basketball team. After watching it, I watched "the making of . . ." from the bones features section and found it interesting that originally the film maker was planning on having the film cover one season. It ended up covering six seasons. I enjoyed it.

Satyajit Ray's Apu Trilogy is almost too sublime too intense to watch. It's just a gift that the fifties brought us such amazing films from around the word. Do you know how much I hear today's silly reviewers overuse the phrase, "heart felt"? The should watch this and go hang their heads in collective shame.
Jolene
I believe this is Jessica Chastain's first movie role. Though she was pretty good in it, the movie wasn't very good. On the positive side, you do get to see "more" of Ms. Chastain than in other films she's appeared.

Old Man, the American cinema has become an embarrassment with too few exceptions. This ebb is lasting far too long I'm afraid.
How to Steal a Million (1967).

I actually like that movie. If anybody gives you sh!t let me know. Happy to kick their a$$ for you.
Harry Potter for the first time.
Captain America: Winter Soldier
I liked it, it's a great installment, but I don't think I need to buy the blu-ray when it comes out. Not really a stand-alone movie, you need to know a lot of the background to appreciate it.

You need to go in order (obviously) but be advised that 2 & 4 are not quite up to the others. (3 - Prisoner of Azkaban and 8 - Deathly Hallows Part II are my two favorites; Alfonso Cuarón directed number 3.)
Harry Potter? Gee, I haven't seen any of them but I'll start on them after I finish Finding Nemo and a South Park retrospective.

My daughter wanted to see it so since I hadn't yet, I sat down and watched it. Not too bad. I'd probably watch the others with her

You get a pass, Daddy! I'd have done it too!
Rush. Fairly realistic driving and car shots. Good representation of Hunt, fantastic one of Lauda. I think that, while they were huge rivals, the fact that they actually were quite close friends (having shared an apartment during their F3 days) was a little underdone. It might have made the movie a little more poignant. Also Lauda pulled out of the Japanese GP more because he couldn’t blink well enough with his burns, it wasn’t purely mental.
Made my dad cry, Hunt helped “discover” Giles Villeneuve in his Formula Atlantic days, Giles and my dad were offered the same F-Atlantic seat and my mom wouldn’t let him take it…

How's the knee doing?
Good, weening off the meds, which is boring.
Meniscus was in better shape than expected, so the procedure was easier. Now just need to focus on the ACL.
Funny how we take for granted things like flexing our quad muscles or straightening out our feet. I have about a 6-degree range of motion in my knee.

Silver Linings Playbook 81 pts.
Confirmed what I thought from American Hustle, Russell relies too heavily upon non-original music to give emotion to scenes. Needs to retake that Music in Scorsese Films course.

Hey at least you've started watching the best mini-series ever on TV.

You must not have realized that I listed Mannequin...
Nothing really good though, you're right. I've been drugged out, so it's just been a bunch of crap to watch between pills.
I did enjoy Catching Fire, but didn't care much for the others. 12 years... was just depressing. I am, however, a big fan of the Dark Knight trilogy, so I never tire of that one.
Which series are you referring to? Blacklist is fun, but I have my complaints. The Wire seems okay so far, but nothing mind-blowing. Game of Thrones has been a bit slow for me.
I'm gonna try to do some reading today.
Any "easy to watch" movie suggestions?

I liked this movie, but I have a thing for movies about crazy people.

Which series are you referring to?
It was The Wire. One reason is for the "Fuck" episode which may be one of the greatest ever on TV. Second is for the bold move it pulls of on the second season (no spoilers here.) And lastly for the phenomenal ensemble cast--probably the best set of actors (and one female non-actor who has not shown up yet.)
Any "easy to watch" movie suggestions?
Off to work, but try Bad Day at Black Rock.
Afflicted
-modestly entertaining indie horror flick. Was good for a flight but not sure if I would have enjoyed it as much at home where the movie would have had to contend with distractions
SPOILER ALERT: overall and interesting effort which ends with a nice set up for a Dexter-the Vampire series!
