I decided to use this invaluable thread of information to watch some movies that I haven't seen yet. I went back to page one and started a list. Made it through 30 pages this morning and came up with 12-15 for starters.

Tonight we watched Chocolat. Not sure how I missed this upon release (kids and their sports), but loved it. Off to a good start.

Moonrise Kingdom. Excellent.

One of the best in 2012.

When I saw the trailer for this movie I was certain I was going to love it but about mid way through I was finding it carrying a very monotonous Woody-esque pattern to it. Go figure.

When I saw the trailers, I thought that it looked like either a movie I'd love or one that everyone else loved and I just don't quite get the hubbub. I'm probably watching it tonight, so I'll see.

Metropolitan

I couldn't help but think of Wine+Art when re-viewing. W+A, PLEASE tell me you've seen this and like it!

Pleaseeeee. Wink

A movie that reflects like a great dialog driven play. We see both the redeeming and faults within its players in this laser like play/movie that is completely devoid of wasted missteps.

A witty screenplay. I think I laughed when others did not. I need to watch again, thanks former 15.

I *knew* it would be 'your type' of movie!

That's an insult to Woody. Anderson wishes he could make a movie that good, but he has a tenth of the talent. Sounds like we agree on Moonrise Kingdom though.

I didn't think it was so great.

Cool

Stillman movies seem to be love them or hate them movies. I love them. Chris Eigeman is a favorite of mine.

Agreed on all fronts, though I like Metropolitan more than Barcelona and I like both considerably more than Last Days of Disco. I missed the new one and have to check it out on Blu-Ray.
