Absolute Power
Grapes of wrath. Always one of my favorites.
Cowboys & Aliens. Kinda boring.
Apollo 18
Even fast forwarding through much of it bored me to tears. Ugggh!
Larry Crowne
Enjoyable

Sorry, I should have warned you about that one.
The Whistleblower
Not light fare. Good, but grim.

Midnight in Paris. Took me 3 days to finish as I kept falling asleep. I love the idea of it all, but don’t think it was cast very well. Not a huge fan of Owen Wilson in that role. Same for Rachel McAdams. Marion Cotillard was beautiful as always and the scenes of Paris were fantastic, but overall I found it a little flat.

I'm not sure you could be more wrong on any subject.

The Academy was correct, one of the best movies in 2011.

I really wanted to like it. Maybe my expectations were a little high.quote:Originally posted by wine+art:quote:Originally posted by GlennK:

I'll be honest. I love the plot of the movie. Phenomenal.
But, actually watching it? I found myself fidgety and oft bored. Just didn't do it for me. I also blame the casting. Ah well. Maybe it's just Woody Allen. Just never connected with him at all. Ever.
American Ballet Theater's Swan Lake. Beautiful.
RE: GlennK's and KSCO2's dislike of Midnight in Paris: I could say something, but in the interest of having cordial offlines with them, I won't.

Puss in Boots - I highly recommend this to those of you with young children

I liked it a bit better than you did, but I had to, er, got to sit through it three times with various friends/family.

Paging W+A. If you're going to take GlennK to task, you certainly shouldn't let this go by without comment.

HA

My lack of love for WA has been declared often, both here and elsewhere. Just no love for the man's works. They irritate me every time.

From a guy whose taste in all things is usually impeccable, shocking.

Moneyball - Really well-done!
