Couldn’t sleep last night so I started watching The Day After Tomorrow, mainly because I saw Emmy Rossum (although she looked 15 in this movie so that didn’t help me). Very boring movie but it did its job of helping me fall asleep as I only watched about 40 mins before nodding off….

I rented X Files: I Want to Believe last night. I enjoyed the series, but I can see why this blew thru the theaters. Essentially just a two hour episode, and not one of the better ones.

Watched Wall-E last night. Kind of bleak and a bit heavy for what I thought would be more of a kids flick. Well done though.

Burn after Reading. Turned ut to be wierd and not what I expected at all!

I believe the Coen Bros did "Oh brothers, where art thou" which I really enjoyed.

I just thought the ending to Burn fell apart. Guess it their attempt at humor, but to me it was disjointed.

I liked Tropic Thunder. Robert Downey Jr. and Tom Cruise were both quite good in it, I thought.

Then again, I also like some of Stiller's other movies, most notably Zoolander and Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story... If you're just generally not a fan of his style I can see where this would not have done it for you.

Worse than Eagle Eye for unbelievable plot and story line. Even AJ is not worth watching this one. Special effects don't save it (many) either.

I saw both in the theater, and thumbs up on both.

On a side note, Bruges is a great city and look forward to visiting again.

Master and Commander was on TV last night. I found it entertaining, thumbs up.

for a Coen Bros. movie that doesn't fall apart at the end, watch "The Hudsucker Proxy" or "Miller's Crossing" ... both excellent movies.

There Will be Blood

I get how people say this is an awesome movie, but I didn't feel it ... this was the rare movie where I felt absolutely nothing at the end of the movie ... no thoughts, no feelings, just nothing ... really weird sensation, really. Last movie that did that to me was "Clockwork Orange"

Deja Vu - the Denzell Washington movie where he tries to stop a terrorist attack after it happens before it happens.

I thought it was actually pretty good. I sat through the entire movie and didn't once look at my watch or think "I could be doing something else", and for me, that is pretty good.

It's been a while and I actually forgot just how much Miles irratated me.
