It's about time.
Hopefully reality will take place in my lifetime regarding the Grand Crus of Bordeaux. I would like to have some of these in my cellar but I refuse pay these premiums.

They are crazed by the number 8, If I had the scratch I would purchase a case and sell in 10 years time. No wonder 8th avenue in Brooklyn, NY has all the Chinese wandering around.
I can't believe we have reached the time when first growths are all about the labels.

Mouton has selected a Chinese artist before. (Gu Gan) I do not remember the vintage, but it was in the '90's.

It's been that way for Mouton for years. I'd love the 1945 label amongst others. Thankfully for the most part Mouton has backed up its labels with quality juice (I said for the most part

That 2008 Mouton 3L I bought on Futures might be going straight to auction.
I remember soooooooo many people saying the 08s were over priced and had no where to go but down. That Lafite mag I picked up for $420 sure seems like a good deal now.

PH, since there were less than 24 true artist in the 20th century, and with spirited debate only 8, Mouton must continue to seek out works.
As a person engrossed with art, and a consumer of wine, I'm always curious which artist they will select, and I'm rarely disappointed.

Hey W+A, given your post count I think you're pretty engrossed in wine as well, not that there's anything wrong with that 
As for the label, i think it's nice. I don't see what the fuss is about however, as half the world markets products just for the North American market.

All of these compliments are going to my head.
Their artist selection for the 2006 label has been too long coming, and glad they made the selection while this brilliant artist is still alive.
The 2006 Mouton may drink well for 75+ years, so the artist will have exposure for decades to come.
