I believe he has taken a vow of silence, which he breaks only to offer a single word of advice to those few disciples hardy enough to make the climb to the cave on the mountain in the Alps where he now resides......
I'm okay with a free-for-all in terms of theme. I was planning on picking up something at the SAQ and bringing a bottle of the Pearl Morissette Cuvee Blu so you guys can try it.

VinT, I'm flying, but will be checking a case myself, so may be able to work something out. Email me (I think you know the address) and we can see if we can work something out.
I'm good with free for all. We'll bring a white and a red. From a once through my list I'm thinking of choosing a couple of the following

2010 Tardieu-Laurent, White Hermitage
2010 Varner, Chardonnay, Bee Block
2007 Chappellet, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pritchard Hill
2006 Bibi Graetz, Testamatta
2001 Pio Cesare, Barolo, Ornato
2003 Elderton, Shiraz, Command

If you guys have any comments/preferences, let me know.
I'm going to bring the Cuvee Blu from PM and will bring one of the following, depending on what is available at the SAQ by the time I get there (preference will be toward wine #1 but only one bottle available in store it seems):

1998 Jamet Cote Rotie
1999 Vidal Fleury La Chatillonne Cote Rotie
1989 Huet Clos de Bourg Premiere Trie

That inventory for the 98 Jamet is very odd. The listing clearly says it is a Signature Exclusive, but the only bottle showing in inventory is at a store way up in Ahuntsic. Were you planning on going all the way up there? And a single bottle could well be an inventory error.

The bottle is there, but on hold for someone else. If he doesn't get it by the end of the day, it's mine, so I'll bring that. Fingers crossed.

The 2010 and 2012 Jamet's were released a couple of weeks ago. The 2010 in turn ended up actually being 1998s. A lot of people were pissed and returned some of the 1998s thinking they were 2010s. But the 1998 is still an excellent bottle.

I'm looking at bringing a 2004 Tondonia reserva or something else.

Have you had it recently? I bought one on release here, for about $50 iirc, but drank it far too young.

What's our updated head count? Uncle John will you be 1 or 2? KSC02, are you back in town or still floating around the Mediterranean drinking ice cold Russian vodka? Wink

165$ is still a good deal. Just saw the 2003 from Champlain Charest's cellars for 250.00$ lol.
