Methods in Amarone

Hi there, I am researching the traditional and modern methods of making Amarone and developing an opinion on whether one is better than the other or are equals (should Amarone be known in the traditional style only? Is the modern style a different wine, moving away from what Amarone should represent? is this a natural evolution in wine style?)

Does anyone have information on the different techniques (trad vs. mod) and Italian producers that are going one way or the other? Also, does anyone have an opinion on traditional vs modern.
