2002 Martinelli Moonshine Ranch Pinot Noir- an outstanding Pinot Noir that shows no signs of tiring. It was our last bottle and I sure wish I had more.
fresh tomato and mozz bruschetta to prime the tum tum. Rosemary chicken breasts and grilled green beans for din din. A nice rose to round it all out.

last night - roasted chicken breast filet, sliced, and served over thin spaghetti with a touch of white truffle oil. salad of roquette arugula, blush wine vinaigrette, basil leaves, chipotle flakes, fresh parm, and a splash of olive oil. and lastly, broiled oyster mushrooms with with salt, pepper, and a little powdered parm.
paired with a 2006 Argyle Reserve Pinot... i haven't quite gotten to Pinot's yet, but this may be my first "Wow" pinot.

w+a, if your travels allow for it, a trip to the coast to visit Granada and the Alhambra would be worthwhile.
Roasted pork tenderloin with a sauce of onion, rosemary, chicken stock, cranberry sauce, balsamic vinegar. Side of pureed cauliflower and a spinach salad.
Fire-grilled chicken and steak tacos with fresh guacamole.
Alaskan Side Stripe jumbo shrimp with chimichurri sauce, basmati rice and of course steamed New Zealand spinach. McWilliam's Hanwood 2006 Chardonnay, one with the screw cap and one with cork stopper.

Last night - "Pollo Romano" (a Batali recipe) - chicken thighs and drums cooked in a tomato sauce with red and green bell peppers, garlic and pancetta, with pan fried polenta. 2005 Beringer Vineyards Merlot Bancroft Ranch.

Remove the pancetta and that's Poulet Basquaise.

Two days of mulching and mowing put me in the mood for grillin’ so last night – marinated boneless chicken thighs, sweet potato fries and salad; tonight – London broil with a last-minute crust of horseradish and brown mustard with wild rice and green beans.

Nice gift! I've still not tried a Frank Family wine, but would love to at some point, as I've heard nothing but very strong reviews.

this is actually kind of exciting....
Grilled beef tenderloin, NZ lamb shoulder chops, steamed yellow flesh potatoes, Swiss Chard, broccoli, strawberry pavlova for dessert. D'Aremberg The Custodian Grenache 2006 and Moet Chandon Nectar Imperial with dessert. Go Phoenix, go Philadelphia!!

Actually, it's quite easy to prepare yourself if you have access to sushi-quality tuna close by so you can prepare the same day. Being on L.I. it would be a no-brainer I would think.

Last night - DnVsMom made some chili, and we went to a friends for a BBQ. Muenster stuffed cheeseburgers, and fries, topped with shredded cheese and smothered in chili. Modelo on tap, 2008 Etude Rose, a Sobon zin, and then assorted cabs with the highlight being a 2002 St. Clement Cabernet magnum.
