Pork ribs are on the menu tonight.
Fresh ground round burgers, slathered in Jack Daniels/Dijon BBQ Sauce. Melted white cheddar cheese. Topped with caramelized onions and crispy bacon on whole wheat buns. BBQ Baked Beans. Yesssssssssss!!

veggies for pizza.
PH, I'm gonna copy you verbatim by no later than Wednesday. I've got that bbq sauce leftover from the last time I made ribs, and it is killer.

It's been one long three day grill and pool party with burgers, sausages, chicken, fish, and steaks. I need a break.

A little of everything. It's Memorial weekend right?
But, my sister's brother in-law made some great burgers Sunday. He mixed in some Cayenne and something else and then grilled them in foil to lock in the juice. Wow was it good. I have never done that, but I will.

I don't grill, I prefer more civilized ways of cooking.
Sunday at home a few racks of baby backs.
Yesterday at the neighborhood BBQ with multiple grills going - tri-tips, hot links and other sausages, beef kabobs, shrimp. Quite the repast....

C'mon grun, you can do better than that. If we were as civilized as you are

Tonight I had a variation on a cheeseburger theme by PH, with grilled asparagus on the side and a few glasses of Stella Aurea. Lovely.

and you LOVE YOUR GRILL.

Prime, dry-aged ribeyes.

Wild caught Sockeye salmon, paired with a Sancerre Rose.
Oatmeal.

big beefy burgers (about 3/4 lb each), slow cooked on the grill.

N Y Strips, bell peppers, zucchini, yellow squash and vidalia onions with an Andrew Rich Cab Franc from Washington State. The food was great, the wine...not so much.

At the size of the burgers (this were big monster burgers), if you don't cook them slow, they will char on the outside and dry out.
They stayed juicy by slow cooking (I also basted one side with a beer/chipotle BBQ sauce).

I forgot to add, I wantd the burgers medium well done since the wife is pregnant
Steak don't mind rare, but hamburger meat, until she given birth, they must be well cooked.

it is not necessary to throw everything on the grill.
It's true, last night I made an omelette, and for some bizarre reason I elected not to grill it. I was pleasantly surprised with the results. Leeks slow fried in butter are amazing in just about anything, especially eggs.
More burgers last night... but not as BIG as carriedca's.

the grill epitomizes some things though, fresh vegetables in my mind
I've got rubbed ribs ready, but it's pouring outside now.
