Last night:

- 2002 Paul Bara Champagne Special Club -- lots of apple and mineral, great acidity, long finish, excellent
- 1995 Pesquera Ribera del Duero Crianza -- last of 6 bottles purchased on release, this showed very well, ripe plum, tobacco, good acidity, no tannins, very long finish, an overachiever!

- 2005 Fevre Chablis Les Clos
- 2009 Girardin Moulin a Vent Clos de la Tour
2004 Auxerrois Vin de Paille, Domaines de Vinsmosellle, Luxembourg, certainly the best local dessert wine i've tried so far
2004 Gewürtztraminer Domaine Privé de la Maison, Krier-Frères, Luxembourg
2004 Penfold's Bin 128 Shiraz, Australia
1999 Sociando-Mallet, Haut-Médoc (wished i had more of these bottles)

2007 Tenuta dell'Ornellaia Le Serre Nuove

How was this showing?

2007 Tenuta dell'Ornellaia Le Serre Nuove - Italy, Tuscany, Bolgheri (4/1/2012)
This was deep and quite extracted but in a good way. Great fruit beautiful tannins and a long finish. This needs 2 years to loose some baby fat but if you like them modern and fat drink up now. This is definitly in the style of Ornellaia and I can't wait to try the big brother in a few years. (92 pts.)
