My first Burgundy ever!
Fine nose of raspberries and hints of earth, on the palate again sweet raspberries and marzipan. Very, very soft tannins with no excessive acidity (which I expected); this is drinking beautifully now, I don't see it getting much better. All in all an encouraging experiment for me. Took my last bottle of this to a restaurant last night. Despite the warning about sediment, a young waitress splash decanted it (to my horror. I was frozen speechless. Eek Mad ) Garnet red colour with definite Burgundy barnyard. Medium bodied with raspberry and wet earth flavours. The earthy nose did blow off a little after an hour or so. Nice wine, but not as good as the bottle I had last year. 89 points.
