Hey David, there is no Pappy distillery and you cannot by Pappy directly from the distillery it’s distilled at. That’s a pic of the upc code, not the laser code. This seems really fishy. If you bought these from someone and the code says 19xxxxx, with the bottle the way it currently is, you’ve likely been duped. But given the fact that you’re saying you bought it directly from the "Pappy Distillery” suggests that you’re trying to dupe us.

Not trying to dupe anyone, sir. As i mentioned in another post. My father had fallen ill and my sisters and i had to close down his restaurant after 20+ years. We had to liquidate his collection and these were his pride and joy. Just going off of what i have and was told. I’d appreciate you not assuming I’m trying to sell a fraudulent item. I’m a rather honest person, just not as fluent in the wine & spirits collectibles as most. This burden has fallen on my lap unfortunately.

No one knows you and you show up trying to sell some extremely rare whiskey (without posting a price you’re looking for). To think you’ll be met with anything other than a healthy degree of skepticism is perhaps a tad naive.

I didn’t know what they were worth. I tried posting this 2 months ago and it was just approved by the moderators. I am trying to do a local pickup only, so the buyer can inspect before purchase. I’m not going to ship. I don’t know a better way to go about it, so someone can determine the authenticity themselves. Thank you all for the kind words

Pappy 15 with red foil is legit. It is Santa Edition. I think the year they release red foil is 2017

I’m aware of the 2017 release that included the red foil. However OP clearly said it was a 2019 that was purchased directly from the “Pappy Distillery.”

And i apologize for the misinformation. I did a google search to figure out the year and came up with 2019. I shouldn’t have posted a year when I was uncertain, so for that, I’m sorry. I can provide additional pictures of what you would need to see on the bottles to know the exact date code, i just don’t have the slightest.

I did some investigating and found a photo of my father from 12/2017.  I did scramble my fathers first name and his face as i do not want photos of him, as well as his name floating around the internet.

I don't think anyone is suggesting he can't "sell his shit", but when your first post on an internet forum is to sell some extremely rare, highly allocated, and often counterfeit whiskies, and also contains some incorrect information (even if it's an honest mistake), there is going to be a healthy degree of skepticism.

New to this forum, but wondering what you're selling the bottle of Pappy Van Winkle for and/or the lot?  I just joined to sell a couple of bottles of vintage wine and saw this posting.  New York would be a weekend trip for us, but we've always wanted a bottle of Pappy Van Winkle.  You can find Pappy on-line, but wondering what you're selling these for.  Thanks
