Yes. Normally you would think a 17 year old Gevrey Chambertin PC would be a steal at $107. This wasn't.

I stopped by the LCBO Clearance Center at Crossroads on my way home today and I have to say that I have never seen a greater collection of total crap in my life. It's not even worthy of a dumpster!

Had this many weeks ago. It was meh... so meh that I hardly recall it. Not worth $50 original price.

Didn't buy any. Producer isn't my preferred style.
The Clearance Center up at Crossroads may have become a bit confused about their role, but the stores are still allowed to put wines on sale. Laird St is the flagship store for Australia and, because they are doing some renovations, they are doing a major clearout of wines in that section as well as some sale items in other categories.
The ones that caught my eye are
Eglington/Winston Churchill store in Mississauga has Norman Hardie's line up 30% discounted. Many more (total of 70 products)

I have some tomato stakes out in the veg garden. Would that be a good pairing?

Gave the 2015 Chardonnay a try last weekend and can't say I was overly impressed. The critics seem to like it more than I do.

According to Winesearcher, this goes for around 25 Euros (tax incl) in Italy. This seems like a pretty high clearance price.
I think the LCBO has lost its understanding of what 'clearance' means. It's not a price increase!

Hi OTW,
I picked up the unfiltered Pinot Noir (Niagara) and it came across a bit watered down and showing a soft backbone. Not impressed either. Well, it was worth a try.
2012 Damilano Barolo Liste reduced from $76 to $61 (Cdn). Plenty of it available at the Laird St store.
2012 Donatella CInelli Colombini Brunello down from $65 to $52 system wide.
