Does anyone ever meet up in the LA area?

I believe that traffic is the driving force behind the very low offline frequency in LA. Getting agreement on where everyone can meet at what time apparently is a killer.
Are you coming to town? SD is not so far away that I (and maybe others) couldn't be coaxed into a drive.
SD sounds good to us!
I’m always in NW LA area
I was sick for a long time and had other things going on. But... nowadays are a little easier.
It is easy for me to do northwestern LA. If anyone happens to be in the NW suburbs, too...
At some point I could also make my way closer to you and do OC — either a light (for an OL) night or else I don’t mind getting a hotel one night down there if we wind up planning more total bottles than people. But that would require more advanced planning. (Maybe later this spring/summer I’ll spend a night in SD...)
I’m not in a rush for anything, but I thought some people might not know I’m down here and open. And certainly anyone in NW LA ever interested, should let me know. I can do that with ease.
There are people in the area I offline with regularly but they rarely if ever frequent this forum any longer. The CRS Crew (Chaos Reigns Supreme) consisting of flubis, red4life, landshark, PinotEnvy, tbird, etc... I still get together with them regularly but we usually plan via Facebook and cell phone.
My point being they are out there.

Good to know. Thanks. In the 2000’s I was at a couple of large offlines in SF that PinotEnvy attended. In fact, iirc, I think she’s responsible for my first d’Yquem! She seemed lovely beyond that, too, but we were never seated near each other so never really got a chance to connect. I’ve never met any of the others, though obviously those names are a blast from the past for me.
I prefer not to use Facebook, but if you’re ever in town and feel like dropping a line here...
Again, thanks for the info.
I've been to a few SD offlines and an OC offline. They were all great. Now that our kids are out of the infant stage, we are looking to get back into this whole thing.
The last one we attended at UCSD University Club was amazing. Would love to see that group get together again.
I had to change my screen name btw, since I've tried to reset my password several times with no luck.
We have been wanting to get back into offlines. LA, OC and SD are all possibilities for us.
INSERTCLEVERWINWPUN, we are planning an OL with MCbeyond and some other North County forumites April 12. If you want to be know specifics, please PM me or RAcer117.

What was your previous screen name?
I've got no clever wine puns to post here.

winetarelli,
I can't think of the last time I've found myself in North LA (other than passing through to Central CA or SF/Napa), but if I ever do I'll be sure to let you know.
BTW, my very first OL was through the Wino Depot website and the remnants of the CRS group, although Gigond Ass later brought me to a proper CRS (although I sadly missed out on meeting tbird other than via video).
Hope to meet up with you some day.
Pinot Envy and her husband are indeed lovely people.
Hey guys, I ended up finding the reset password message in my spam, so I am insertcleverwinepun as well. I'll get rid of that account, I guess.
SD-Wineaux, your un is one of my favorite wine puns!

If I'm connecting the threads right, didn't you used to go by medvantage and Peer Gynt prior to that?
Yes, all me. I feel old now.
