Kalin 95 Cuvee DD pinot

The 1987 is one of the two best new world Pinot Noirs I've ever had.

Board-O: More than a Kistler? Or Marcassin? I mean, I like Martinelli a lot, but.......By the way, my favorite Martinelli was the 94 pinot. They hadn't made a Reserve yet. Shoot, if we can get together, I have a vertical of Martinelli Reserves from 95 on........

Not likely. Btw, I've never paid $350 for a bottle of wine, not even Romanee-Conti.

Kister/Martinelli are my 2 favorite Pinots also. But, I never had Marcassin or this Wine of Tiopic.

The most I paid for a bottle was the 1990 La Tache, at about $250.00.

GMT, I paid about $250 for the '59 La Tache, not for each bottle, but for BOTH bottles. Of course that was in 1978.

Board-O: THAT was big money in those days: at that time, $250.00 would have paid for all my books used for college for 2 years.
