We've been watching Julia on HBO and had a dinner party tonight with some of the wifey's work cohorts.  It was particularly successful, and thought to post.  Made Julia's boeuf bourguignon from 'Mastering the art....', sautéed asparagus, and roasted baby red potatoes tossed with butter and chives.  Had:

An embarrassingly non-descript rose while cooking and guests arriving,

2011 Guigal Gigondas with dinner

2009 Rayne Vigneau with an apple/raspberry tart

I have to say, all the wines were enjoyed!
