2013 Mount Eden Cabernet Sauvignon.  Excellent wine, as always with this producer, but this is still a baby.

I have a bottle of the 2007 Cab which should be in a good place based on the one I opened 5 years ago. I also opened my last bottle of their 2009 Estate Chardonnay last week and it was delicious as usual.

Last night

2019 Francois Crochet, Sancerre

2011 Mas Igneus, Priorat, FA 112

I have 3 more of the CS, so was happy to sacrifice one to see where it was.  Very aromatic on opening, but then shut down a bit and it was good, but a mere shadow of what it will be 5+ years or so from now.

Have one of the 2009 Chardonnay left as well.  Time to open it sounds like.

On Saturday night at Hoogan & Beaufort with Futronic and Mimik

2012 Domaine De La Pépière, Muscadet Sevre et Maine, Clisson

2016 De Vilaine, Bourgogne, Les Clous Aimé (Mimik?)

2018 Envinate, Vinos Atlanticos, Lousas Viñas De Aldea

2015 Duncan Savage, Savage Red

and yesterday with Futronic while watching the Euro 2020 final

2008 Chartogne-Taillet, Champagne, Heurtebise BdB

2014 Laherte Freres, Champagne, Rosé de Saignée, Les Beaudiers

2011 Chapoutier, Hermitage, De L'Orée Blanc

2018 Jean Foillard, Morgon, Cuvée Corcelette

2019 Nervi (Conterno), Il Rosato

2010 Castello di Neive, Barbaresco, Santo Stefano

2018 Badenhorst, Palomino, Sout Van Die Aarde

The Champagnes were delicious but given the result of the game I think Fut enjoyed them even more than I did.

Excellent company, wines, and food all around. Always a pleasure to visit. The Champagnes and de L'Oree Blanc were particularly fantastic.

Commiserations again on England losing the final, but either way one of us was bound to be disappointed.

I'll take a fuzzy stab at what we drank during dinner at Bleu Raisin last night with KSC02, Uncle John, Vinaigre and Mimik

2008 Marc Hebrart, Champagne, Special Club

2006 Taittinger, Comtes de Champagne

2013 Chapoutier, Hermitage, Le Meal Blanc

2014 Chapoutier, Hermitage, Le Meal Blanc

1996 Chateau Montrose, Saint Estephe

2004 Pio Cesare, Barolo, Ornato

2006 Mondavi, Cabernet Sauvignon, Reserve

2003 Chateau Leoville Les Cases, St. Julien

1997 Chateau D'Yquem, Sauternes

Hopefully somebody will correct me if I got that wrong. My WOTN was the Taittinger followed closely by the 2013 Le Meal. Seems to have been my week for some excellent white Hermitages.

Great evening and it was really good to be able to get together at a BYO after so long. Hopefully Impulse will be able to join us for the next one...soon.
