1999 Lisini Ugolaia BDM
How did the Lisini show?
Brickish in color, but the fruit was vibrant (I was a bit surprised) and it paired very well with grilled flank steak over arugula.
The normale is in a great spot with very sweet fruit balanced by sangio acidity so was wondering about the Ugolaia. thanks
A very rare domnvinsdad sighting! I must go out and buy a lottery ticket right away.
Hope all is well with you and your family. Dom and Vin must be near college age by now?
For us tonight, 2017 Domaine Vacheron Sancerre, delicious and refreshing.

And Dom and Vin are hoping to have a senior year in high school.
2017 Marcoux CdP.
Popped 24 hours in advance. Re-corked after 20 minutes, then served 24 hours later. This is definitely the way to drink it if you’re gonna pop one now.
my father made white grape wine now the whole family is drinking this drink
You folks are drinking better than me... I need to get back in the game.
Welcome home, Mr Lentini. 🙂
Last night with Szechuan take-out, we had 2017 Joie Farm Reserve Gewurztraminer En Famille, pretty good; floral nose with litchi and pear flavours, Alsatian in character if not in origin.
2019 Between The Lines, Rosé
2015 Il Poggione, RdM
2004 San Filippo, BdM, Le Lucere Riserva
The San Filippo was flawed. VA, which did blow off but definitely detracted from the pleasure. Too bad because it was very tasty.
2014 Angela Pinot Noir Abbot Claim Vineyard
2013 Pegau Chateauneuf du Pape Réservée
Classic Pegau chalky black cherry and dino poo. Would do well with a decant or four more years in bottle. Not a great vintage, but worth the $45 I paid for it. 91.5

Nice!
I had 2018 Merry Edwards SB last night.
2004 Two Hands Bella's Garden Shiraz
Some Australian shiraz starts out as alcoholic fruit-bomb but then settles down after 15-20 years into something quite enjoyable. That does not appear to be the trajectory for this wine. If anyone wants to relieve me of the Lily's Garden and Run Rig that are left in my cellar, I'm available for transaction.

I recall buying the 2005 (if I'm not mistaken)...very high ratings. Tasted like crushed grapes, is in they forgot the winemaking altogether. Maybe purple jesus in a bottle. And I liked 2005 Aussie Shiraz back then. This is not wine.

2017 Koncho & Co. Rkatsiteli Qveri - this was really good. almond paste, white flowers and honey, but dry as a bone. Will be seeking out more.
2018 Meinklang Morgen - A rose made from Sankt Laurent, i think my first experience with this grape. Tasted like a good dry hopped sour. Not great for a wine though.
2017 Iuli Umberta - Big Menh. Generic barbera. Had hoped for more.
2018 Tenuta Il Palagio Every Breath You Take Toscana Bianco - It was good.
2005 Thomas Pinot noir.
a very fun bottle to drink. little soda water on the nose but some great red fruit showing through afterwards mixed with some lush green forest soils
