welcome to the forums!

first off, having a winemaker give himself 100 points is, well....

i love jarvis and think they make great, usually underrated, wines. the beauty of javis though is that it can be found on the secondary market at pretty good discounts. of course, you're taking a gamble on that, but i have a hard time paying $175 for Jarvis, especially when I just picked up 6 bottles of their 2000 "Estate Grown Cave Fermented" Cab for $40 each (release price of about $80 if I'm not mistaken).

if i were a die-hard fan with deep pockets, i'd say sure, but $175 is steep to say the least. same reason i only went 3-bottles deep on 2007 dominus. i love their wine, but bobby's 98 points drove the price up, and drove away my interest.
