Thursday dinner with 2012 K Vintners Syrah The Beautiful. We don’t get much Walla Walla wine in my market any more, but this is one of the best I’ve ever had. Appropriately named.
Last night at the local fish place, we had 2011 Bouchard Père et Fils Chevalier-Montrachet, a remarkable wine. Very rich but at the same time light on the palate, lots of pear, mandarin orange, yellow plum, hazelnut, mineral, with super long finish. Wow!! My white of the year so far, and I may very well be saying this again at the end of December.😊

i think this was one of the most epic wines i've ever drunk.
Pure candied cherries, insane bouquet of honeysuckle, spiced jam with undertones of rose water and a hint of orange zest. That sweet candied finish goes on for minutes
