We had a 9PM reservation. No better than OK. Not worth a return.

Anyone care to guess what Bella's Feb eating thread will be called? My guesses:
Whats being jammed in your gluttonous pie hole?
What is being gulped down your pie hole and forced out your down under hole?

"Pie hole" is not a deragatory term. I don't know why so many have a problem with it.
Actually, I think it's usually used in at least a somewhat derogatory fashion as in, "Shut your pie hole!","Shut your cake hole!", or "Shut your cake!", etc.

Wrong yet again.

Its February....what are you cramming down your craw!

It will probably be
"What do you cook while taking a 2 minute shower?"
"What do you cook while taking a 2 minute shower?"
Lasagna.

To be honest, I've only heard the term used on television on shows in black and white. I have heard "shut your pie hole" but more often "quit stuffing your pie hole."quote:Originally posted by just a skosh:

Filet, lobster, mashed potatoes, sugar snap peas, & creamed corn. Along with an'03 Stags Leap Artemis (too young - but one of our fellow diners had been nice enough to order it for the table).

So, clearly, it had the connotation you were going for...?

Stuffed tonight with grilled tilefish and a 2004 Bernard Morey Puligny-Montrachet. Excellent.

What was in it, a Slinky?

I had a nice pork loin cooked in, yes, the Ron Popiel Showtime rotisserie oven.
Quite good, paired with the 99 Whitehall Lane. Didn't have a good Rhone handy.

I didn't know you were a set it and forget it kind of guy there GA

What's funny is that there was a sticker on it that warned you shouldn't "literally" forget it.
Obviously some moron burned his house down.
It actually works pretty well in a pinch and the special gloves make me look like Mickey Mouse with extra fingers.

We'll be stuffing our pie holes with burgers tonight, but no side salads or springy salads, just a regular run-of-the-mill Mesclun salad with evoo and Balsamic vinegar.

Put some chicken on the grill, made some red beans and rice to go with it, and a salad - with some avocado and sunflower seeds. Alas, no wine last night.....

The Saltimbocca was very good mwagner, I just need to use more spinach the next time I make it.
Last night: Eggplant Rollatini
Tonight, grilled marinated flank steak with a 1993 Mondavi Cabernet Reserve
Board-O, how was the '93 Mondavi Reserve drinking?
Tonight hasn't arrived yet. I'll post tasting notes, but not til after we have the wine.

Mea Culpa. Yet, somehow I presumed that you were able to predict the future.
I wish! If'n I could, I'd be drinking all my wine at the ideal time.
