A nice 52 here. This is when we break out the parkas in Houston.

My mom bought me a UF orange polo shirt for my birthday. When I opened it, I just looked at her and asked for the gift reciept. She had no clue why. When I explained, I was told I was an a$$hole and should be more appreciative. She's probably right but I dont care.

Boys - this is great drinking weather! Hard to beat a nice fire and a glass of port while watching it snow. I'm thinking a 76 Niepoort Colheita would pair nicely with a storm of this caliber
Alright guys, the Metrodome roof collapsed under the weight of snow. Time to leave the great white north and come to sunny Fla. Its 70 degrees and not a cloud in the sky today.

We will not see 70 again until Wednesday.
I'm actually looking forward to this cold snap. I need a nice freeze to get the backyard rink in skate-able condition. It was too warm this earlier this week. I would have preferred to have a solid freeze BEFORE the snow, 'cause now I'll have some pretty crappy ice that will need more work with the hose.
Overall, I can't complain, though. The spruces in the backyard are looking very Christmas-like right now. And just another counter to the smarta$$ jabs from you warm-weather sissies, I haven't seen an insect for two months now. No snakes, neither.

Just responded to an email from my uncle in Minnesota talking about the Metrodome and the nearly two feet of snow they just got. I replied that I hoped he stayed warm and dry, but it was hard for me to relate, as I was at the beach yesterday where it was a sunny 75, as it is today. No insects at the beach either as there was a nice breeze too, which made for some nice Frisbee against the wind. (Chicks dig watching boomarang Frisbee)

We're headed to -15 tonight. Shouldn't you be making a return trip for anothe tasting? We could pair it to the weather: ice wines!
I enjoy it when it's cooler out here in AZ...but we've been getting hit with a couple straight 80 plus degree days here recently after a good cold streak. Come back sub 70 degree days!

Sunny and 11 degrees here. Went for a nice 2 mile jog. Wish we had more snow.
Today's highs here in Cancun will top out at 68, tomorrow 68 as well. Good days to go shopping, tidy things up, laugh at MetroDome collapse replays...
The backyard rink is setting up nicely. My boys can walk on it now. Still a little flimsy for my heavily insulated a$$. Projected lows of 8F tonight, 9F tomorrow night, and 9F again Wednesday night. Might need to trade in my '05 Bordeaux collection for a Zamboni.
