But, I would recommend against hiring a "public adjuster" unless you really scrutinize them a bunch, and if you have no alternative.

That being said...what is a "public adjuster"? We had an adjuster (if that's the right term) from both our own insurance company as well as our association's insurance company, so I'm not sure what a public adjuster would be.
