It is 68 here in Tampa at the moment with a high predicted around 79 today. Do you guys think I should wear shorts or jeans to the Dali museum today? Wink

I thought you were in the second worse state in the US--Texas. Turns out your in the worse state--FL. Enjoy your hot, sweaty, humid summer. I think it starts soon.

Can't take someone seriously who doesn't know the differerence between worse and worst. Razz

I do know the difference, but I stand corrected.

It's fine in Bermuda though. You'll see businessmen in shorts suits with black knee socks.

But the also wear a tie and jacket.

Here the wear gym shorts, floppy sweat shorts, and sandles. Not Bermuda style. Smile

...and a ball cap.

Must be ratty and worn backwards. Do not forget the fanny pack either.

On the subject of it's freezing; why is it that gas stations and Metra train stations are always the coldest places any time any season? And what are your cold places?

Try the top of a mountain when you get off the chair lift. Nice wind, no protection, and your body is at rest [i.e. no activity] as you have been frozen stiff riding the chair lift for 15 minutes.

Worse than the Metra is the El platforms. Especially when the schedule is off and they run one or more trains by without stopping to get it back in sync.

Major ice storm hit DFW at 4:00 AM today, so the city is all but shut down, including all schools and many businesses.

With lows between 9-12 degrees the next two nights, looks like it will be the weekend before a major warm up. Frown

It was in the 70's last week including this past weekend.

That's what you get for busting our cherries with your "I'm sauntering off to the courtyard" crap!

It looks like we in the Chicago area are about to be shat upon with a Northeast-style blizzard. Depending on where you live, 14-24 inches! Ugh. My 10-minute work commute is probably going to take at least 25...

I will believe it when it happens...

Are ya near a window?
All schools in North Texas will be closed for a third straight day.

At 4:00 AM on Tuesday morning, DFW was hit by a major thunderstorm including lighting that lasted over 3 hours. The entire metroplex was covered with ice by 5:30 AM, and still is today.

The winds have been blowing between 25-40+ mph, with a high of 19 and single digit lows each night. Mad

Sweet. I'm supposed to board a plane for home today. I'm half way wishing the thing gets canceled. Wink

Enjoy.
Looks like the weather is an instant replay. This small storm will track to North East again too.

Whats gets me is that NOAA said that this was one of the driest January's. Think some folks will disagree a lot with that comment.

Anybody hear from Al Gore recently re global warming?

For what it is worth. Cool in SoFla. Big Grin

Wicked cold tonight. Perfect weather to hose down the ice rink, right??

First of all, I hook up the hose to the faucet. Water freezes before it gets to the end of the 100 ft. hose. (!)

So I take the hose inside to thaw. I run some hot water through it for good measure. Run it outside quickly and hook it up. This time I can get water out the end. As I put water on the ice, everything freezes instantly. My shoes kept freezing to the ice. Thankfully, I got the hose unscrewed and drained before it froze solid inside again.

20 minutes later my fingers are actually thawed enough to enter my password for the computer. And so here I am.

It's F%&ken cold!!!

I had the same sensation too. 3F tonight, -1 tomorrow in Indy. Much colder in Chicago I'm sure.

I'm North of both of you.

What is this, a game of my shrinkage is greater than your shrinkage? Big Grin
