Fair question- $200 ticket purchased months ago and nobody that wants to buy it from me...feel obligated to go as to not be wasteful.
The online weather said: "8.5F (feels like 8)." When I walked out to the mailbox I thought, yeah, 8.5 seems way warm, it probably does feel like only 8....
My phone says it is currently 7 degrees with the expected high today of 12. At least it is supposed to warm up tomorrow to mid-20s and calling for a high of 54 on Saturday. Unfortunately that won't last, but highs of mid-30s to start next week. I'm just hoping no bad snows next week to hinder my drive back to IL for the holidays.
It is only 23F, but wind chill feels like 10F. I think we get the colder stuff tomorrow.
I'm really pissed that I haven't had time to get the backyard rink set up yet. This cold snap would have been perfect to get a solid sheet of ice down for the season. I'm hoping to get the water laid down by Saturday to take advantage of forecast single-digits on Sunday and Monday.
I was thinking today how quickly I turned back into a wimpy San Diego. It's in the high 50's and I was cold walking to my car after work.

yesterday morning's ice storm caused a 67 vehicle pile up on the interstate here, resulting in 2 deaths and about 15 people hospitalized....then the temperature has risen steadily, and it is now 63 at 11:00 AM Sunday, but will then turn around and drop during the day so that we will get some more ice and snow this evening..wacky.

Snow in Seattle, and the courts are closed! I haven't had a snow day in years! So nice to sleep in on a Monday.

Even though it was snowing hard, it was my easiest commute in years. Amazon must have taken the day off too.
