If we're really lucky tomorrow, Toronto will get above freezing for the first time since Jan 24.

We may need to petition Robert for a shivering emoticon.

Pretty cold in NY today/this coming weekend. I work in IT field and the AC unit in the server room failed, was over 90 degrees when I came in this morning. Bad for the servers/equipment but was a fast way of me warming up. I am thinking about selling time in the server room to cold people on the street.

Ummmm... Open a window?

Reminds me.....once my wife woke me up in the night and told me to go close the window. She said I should do so because it was cold outside.
I said, "If I close the window, it will still be cold outside."

I don't get it. What air, except heavy winds, hit you in the face? Bad smelling? Then what's that got to do with the alligator?
Confused

When it's twenty below with a wind chill in the minus thirties (as it was here for the past few days), your face starts to freeze within a minute or two. It hurts. But as painful as that can be, this meme suggests a preference for that over a warmer clime where alligators knock on your front door.

But can the alligators be any worse than the packs of hungry polar bears that roam most Canadian cities? Doesn't seem like that great a trade-off to me.

This is May, isn't it?

Irwin, were you at deeep creek lake? We were there last night and today and it actually snowed around mid day. Just crazy weather!
