I think the label was still wet on the Ridge Adelaida, but it is a new wine from Ridge (White Rhone blend) and I had to see what they were working with. I love it and bought more immediately. The Paul Hobbs Cab was also excellent with room for improvement.

Can’t deny it’s a well-made wine. It’s just not my style. Candied fruit and savoury notes competing with each other.
I had one last week and felt the same way. I've really ejoyed previous vintages as lithe elegant expressions of frappato but this one saw too much heat. I couldnt get over the jolly rancher.
Opened a bottle last night and it was definitely far more candied than the first couple bottles. Actually quite thin as well.
