Over the last week or so:

NV Laurent-Perrier Champagne Cuvee Rose Brut
2014 WesMar Chardonnay RRV
2018 Ridge Adelaida Vineyard
2015 Paul Hobbs Cabernet Sauvignon Napa
2014 Liquid Farm Chardonnay Four

I think the label was still wet on the Ridge Adelaida, but it is a new wine from Ridge (White Rhone blend) and I had to see what they were working with.  I love it and bought more immediately.  The Paul Hobbs Cab was also excellent with room for improvement.

Could that be a Paolo Conterno Ginestra?  I'm not aware of a Paolo Scavino Ginestra in 1996.

How was the Cote Rotie showing?

It was the Conterno.

2015 Valle dell'Acate Vittoria Il Frappato

Can’t deny it’s a well-made wine. It’s just not my style. Candied fruit and savoury notes competing with each other.

I had one last week and felt the same way.  I've really ejoyed previous vintages as lithe elegant expressions of frappato but this one saw too much heat.  I couldnt get over the jolly rancher.

Opened a bottle last night and it was definitely far more candied than the first couple bottles. Actually quite thin as well.
