I'd love to sign up for wine lists in the states but I'm worried about getting shipping to Alberta. What's everyone's work around? I'm not sure wineries are interested in international shipping headaches either. Thanks!
There are no workarounds. You either have it shipped into Canada (Alberta is the one province that some will ship to), or shipped to a border town, drive across the border and pick it up. The government insists on getting its pound of flesh.
Thanks! Talked with the AGLC and they said it needs to be by air freight so it crosses into Alberta first. Ever heard of ground shipments that you can specify entering Canada through the Alberta border first? It seems otherwise UPS/FedEx will also exact their pound of flesh at around $320/case.
