hurricane season 2018

We are flying to St. Lucia in less than 2 weeks.  I'm happy that 1) Issac seems to be drifting north and 2) doesn't project to be as strong as either Florence or Helene (which appears as not threat to land).

That said, I certainly hope those in the Carolinas take this seriously and then hope against current projections that it either turns or runs out of steam before landfall

These people will feel the effects of this storm for ten years. There are waterfront properties in Biloxi that were vacant in 2014 after Katrina hit in 2005 (with less winds). A storm of this magnitude is complete destruction. Prayers for everyone affected.

I am glad I don't live near the Gulf Coast anymore.  Although we were inland being north from Houston, we had several hurricanes that caused problems for us, including being out of power for a week or more.  Feel sorry for those that incurred the wrath of Michael.
