I've tried Daniel Boulud's burger in Wynn's in Las Vegas. It was about $30 and I'd definitely do it again. That's the best and the most expensive burger I've ever tasted; frankly, anything beyond that is simply overkill.
Rogue Brewery in Eugene, Oregon.

Kobe Burger with Rogue Blue Cheese with Tracktown, IPA. Total cost $14.90, perfect lunch.

Sorry, just got your reply. Was at the "Gothic Castle."
It really depends on the burger. I would say the $40 Kobe burger ate the Old Homestead is a bit much, but I have seen them for $100 elsewhere. Really the $3.00-$5.00 range sounds about right
The best burger I have ever eaten was at A Girl and a Fig in Sonoma. It was fabulous. I would go there again just to order the burger (and I am not a hamburger fan). The cost was reasonable....I went at lunch and it seems like it was around $10-$12.

Me too. Smile
One of the local spots around here, The Parkside, has a Niman Ranch burger that I recently had for 15 bucks that is absolutely delicious. Its cooked with truffle oil and served on an onion roll with garlic fries. With fresh blue cheese on top, and a nice glass of local wine; to me its about as good as a burger gets.
Paid $12 in Ashton, Id for a 9" cheese burger with a ton of seasoned fries. Actually, it was good! Shared it with my wife.
