Have a gift card to spend. Newbie needs help!

I have a $75 gift card to Barclays wine shop online. I know next to nothing about wine. I wanted to get your input on what bottles are a good choice. It can be any price range from $10-$30 a bottle. I do enjoy red wines more than white wines.
