Happy Thanksgiving!

I'm thankful for fast cars, wine and women...I guess my wife, family, friends and dog can slide in there aswell Big Grin

Although Christmas is always the much larger holiday gathering with my in-laws up in Napa, we're still gonna crack into a few nice wines today amongst our small group:

1993 Dom Perignon
2006 Kistler Mountain McCrea Chardonnay
2008 Groth Chardonnay
2007 Kosta Browne RRV
2004 Robert Mondavi Reserve Cabernet
2005 Pride Reserve Cabernet
2003 Dow's Vintage Port
Happy Thanksgiving to all.
I am going to the doctor tomorrow for my annual checkup. Really dumb to schedule it for the day after T-giving. So, I'll be eating sensibly, moderately, and actually not consuming any alcohol. Haven't had any since Tuesday. Hoping to get my liver values in the normal range.
Will resume the normal lifestyle on Friday evening.

Let me count. No drink since Tues means Wed, Thurs w/o a drink, so just two days. I hate to tell you your liver will still be pickled baby Razz - I imagine you'd need more than two days Smile

Maybe if I slip a 5 spot to the Lab Lady? Wink
I'm not an American but I am a Lions fan so I've always celebrated American Thanksgiving by taking the day off and opening a bottle of something American. This year it was a 2007 Napa Cellars zin - which was yummy, especially after 3+ months of no zin....

BTW, seems to me that Americans make more of an effort to get home for Thanksgiving than they do for Christmas, which is our major go-home-for-the-holidays holiday. If true, why?

Irwin, my doctor's office told me to get an accurate reading give the alcohol a rest for 4-6 weeks. I do believe drinking the night before does make them spike though. Last time I had a test I think I had only given it a rest for a few days and they were all low. Good luck.

If he held onto the ball, I think your guys would have won. How long before they take away the "interim" from Garrett?

I'm not sure. There are reports Garrett would insist on more control of his staff, training camp locations, team rules, who plays and such from Jones before agreeing to anything.

Jason has made $3 million a season for the last three years, is smart (Princeton) and may be using this time as an audition for other options.

He is a patience guy, and turned down the Baltimore job ( Confused) because he did not like a number of things. He is close to Sean Payton and Jimmy Johnson, and will seek their advice, and already speaks with Jimmy weekly.
Enjoyed Thanksgiving, playing 9 holes before cooking the turkey, had friends over and opened some very nice Pinot Noir.

Roy Williams helped make it a special day. Thanks Roy!

I think Christmas is sometimes used as a vacation by many versus Thanksgiving where it is trying to get family members home.

I'm hoping that Jason Garrett is smart enough to take a job elsewhere and not deal with Jerry Jones.
