He's a pig who should be shunned. Governor reduces sentence of former Assembly speaker’s son
He did this without even letting the parents of the victim know. You should have heard their interviews filled with sorrow and anger. One quote, "My son (was) stabbed in the heart when he was alive. Schwarzenegger stabbed him in the back after my son is killed.”
After being pushed for months as to why Schwarzenegger did it he finally answered, "Well, hello! I mean, of course you help a friend."

The great Robert Plant.

One of the more interesting interviews I've heard on NPR was a conversation with Robert Plant about the history of the blues. As I recall, he said he had an epiphany of sorts when he was in Morocco and, while listening to some street musicians (I forget in which city) heard chord structures and other musical "markers" that were (for him) the missing link between other African influences and Delta blues. This interview was quite a while ago, so I don't recall all the details. The other interesting thing, for me, was learning what a committed student of music and musical roots he still was.

Thanks Rob. Don't feel a day over 50. Troubling since I'm only 44.

As am I! Great vintage. Never thinking about it much for some reason I though I was turning 43 this year not 44. I guess I'm still stuck in the endless loop of 2020...
1978? You guys are infants. That's when I became an attorney.

Not really a birthday as such, but today is the 60th anniversary of the release of Dylan's first album (and he's still going strong).

A day late, but yesterday was the 39th anniversary of my 29th birthday
