Miami Beach. My flight this morning was the most empty commercial flight I have ever flown.

Were you flying much the first few months after 9/11?

I did. This flight was a 767, there were 3 of us in FC, and 17 in total on the rest of the flight.

We left the gate, then waited 65 minutes until the pilots received the weight of the cargo.

American needs to close their doors forever.

That is sparse. I'm surprised it wasn't cancelled. I guess they needed the plane where you were going.

I would shed no tears for American or United if they were to go away.

You are correct. The plane was heading overseas.
For the longest time I worked for companies that had policies about a preferred airline. Now my company is best price. After 4 years of flying on airlines that aren't based in the US, it's hard to want to book a seat on one that is.

Santa Fe soon, I hope.

I'll just miss you. Heading to Lauderdale tomorrow through Wednesday. My schedule is so up in the air I didn't bother posting anything.

Last week several villages in central tuscany. Greve, San Casciano, Panzano, Siena, Montefiridolfi. Full report of the trip coming soon. Simply put, an awesome trip. Italian drivers are crazy.

Glad to hear all is going well, IW.

I have found there are Italian drivers, then there are drivers in Naples. Eek

Thanks GF!
Last night of my month-long trip to AU and NZ (doing lectures for the company I work for), and I've been enjoying some amazing Pinot Noir from this beautiful area of the country. Excellent US$ to NZ$ exchange rates made purchases even easier! :-)

Thanks for the recommendation. I wish I had time but this is one of those 24 hour spins with an event tonight, all day meetings tomorrow, then home tomorrow night. Next time!

I'm betting you're going to love Rasa! I hope you'll post notes.
I will definitely be posting notes. Hit L'ecole today on the way into town and was very pleasantly surprised with the whole lineup.
