We have a return planned there next year. Great weather, food, people, architecture and of course wine
Leaving in the morning for 18 days in Tanzania Africa. Going to see our son - he is serving there in the Peace Corps. It will be great to see him again after so long, and we will have our daughter and her husband with us as well. Mrs. TLV said this will be the best Mother's Day ever...

An amazing trip to Spain from so many points of view. Sagrada Familia is a must visit if you are in Spain. Martin Berasategui is amazing edible art on a plate.
IW
IW, did you do anything special at Sagrada Familia like take a guided tour or just walk around on your own or other?

What did you think of Cal Pep?
Off to Vancouver. Not a fan of the city, but it's a stopover on the way to Alaska.

Agree with Boad-O. I do whatever I can to avoid going to Vancouver.

We did use a guide and her history of the place made it extra special. We also went up into one of the towers and walked back down. Construction will be completed in 2026. With the center tower being done by 2022. When finished the main center tower will be the tallest in the world for a church at 560 feet.

Cal Pep was excellent. Thanks for the recommendation. The no menu thing is different but it works. The freshness of the food and the speed that they work at is pure fun.
IW, if you have a contact name and information I'd appreciate you passing it along. If it was just somebody randomly assigned to you at arrival let me know. Thanks.

And you didn’t reach out for an offline?
I should probably check that out sometime, being maybe 45 minutes from where I live.

In Baku time was even more consuming.
Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway, Sitka, Icy Point Strait, Hoonah, Hubbard Glacier, Homer, Seward, Whittier, Girdwood, Denali State Park, Denali National Park, Chugach State Park, Anchorage. Alaska is a beautiful state with some of the most amazing scenery and wildlife in the world. My last trip was with a guide rafting and fly fishing for King Salmon and Rainbow Trout.
